Golden Autumn in Engadin

Description

Hiking in the Engadin is a beautiful experience in autumn. The pine forests become orange/yellow which gives this name of Golden Autumn. This hike will guide you through some of the most beautiful autumnal landscapes in the Engadin I have ever witnessed.

The hike takes you from Maloja, a small village in the Engadin. From there, you will follow the Via Engiadina, a regional trail through the Engadin. Shortly, you’ll see the turquoise waters of Lake Sils, glowing against the golden trees. The turquoise color of the lake goes perfectly with the autumnal colors of the trees and the meadows. From there, you will start seeing the trees with orange/yellow leaves.

The path will lead you through small hamlets like Blaunca and Grevasalvas. This hike has also some sections in the forest. Along the way, you will have many opportunities to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes. The last section just before Sils will give you the best view, often seen on social media.

After reaching Sils, you will be able to see the Lake Silvaplana. The path continues towards the beautiful Silvaplana village.
